Structure of rural employment in the youth of rural territories in contemporary Uruguay: rural employment of young people or for rural youth?

This article seeks to analyze the main characteristics and trends in the employment structure of rural youth in Uruguayan territory, with special emphasis on analyzing the different social and productive characteristics in the last five years. On the one hand, the conceptual debate on the changes in production, restructuring of capitalist production and its impact on rural areas. The data presented different trends in the processes of emergence and consolidation of agricultural and non agricultural occupations in the different generational groups in rural areas, which would play this social process as heterogeneous. The conclusion to that above, so that implementation of the proposed conceptual approach would not have the same degree of validity for the various territories that comprise the rural territory of Uruguay given the different dynamics and generational socio generating a heterogeneous distribution of jobs in regional labor markets.
